ANNOUNCEMENTS
-
[New] [November 28, 2021]
- Important Message about Tentative Course Letter Grade.
For determining the Tentative Course Grade, the Term Test 2 scores
will be scaled to percentages, with a score of 56/64 becoming 100%.
A score between 56 and 64 will remain at 100%. The same scaling will
be applied to Term Test 1, as well as to the Final Exam.
The total grade for four Assigments, which ranges between 0 and 400,
will be scaled to percentages by dividing this total grade by 4.
Using the Term Test 1, Term Test 2, and Assignment percentages, a
Tentative Course Grade will then be determined as specified in the
Course Outline. This is followed by a conversion to Letter Grades.
The graded Term Test 2 papers will be returned to you in class on
Friday, December 3. It will include a form which shows your
Tentative Course Grade, and the corresponding Letter Grade. You MUST
sign this form and select one of the following two options:
(1) ACCEPTING your Tentative Course Letter Grade and NOT WRITING the
Final Exam, or (2) NOT ACCEPTING your Tentative Course Letter Grade
and WRITING the Final Exam.
The signed form MUST be returned in class. If you DO NOT return the
signed form, then you are ASSUMED to be writing the Final Exam.
