Mustafa Mehmet Ali received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Bogazichi University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1977 and 1979, respectively, and Ph.D. degree from Carleton University, Ontario, Canada, in 1983, all in electrical engineering.

Currently, Mustafa Mehmet Ali is a  Professor with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Concordia University.
