Biography
Dr. Chen received his B.Eng. degree in Applied Mathematics and M.
Eng.
(Research) degree in Industrial Management Engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and
Astronautics (BUAA), Beijing,
China, in 1982 and 1984,
respectively.
He received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial
Engineering from the Department
of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University
of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1991. He was an
Assistant
Professor in Industrial
Systems Engineering (ISE) Program, Faculty
of Engineering, University of
Regina,
Regina, Saskatchewan from 1991 to 1995 and an Associate Professor
from
1995 to 1999 in the ISE
Program, University of Regina.
He was an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and
Industrial Engineering, Concordia
University, from July 1999 to June 2006, promoted to
Professor in June, 2006. Dr. Chen is a Professional Engineer
(P.Eng.)
registered with the Association of
Professional
Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). Dr. Chen was
a member of CORS and a senior member
of IIE.
