  • Nov. 15. Dr. Hamou-Lhadj gave an invited talk at the Université of Montréal on the big data analytics of software logs and their applications to telecomm, military, and avionic systems. .
  • Nov. 15. Research Associate Shariyar Murtaza joined Ryerson Univ. as a Reseacher and Lecturer and later on Telus as a Lead Data Scientist.
  • Apr. 15. Postdoc Wael Kreich joined Exchange Solutions Inc. as a Lead Data Scientist.
  • Mar. 15. Our paper "JCHARMING: A Bug Reproduction Approach using Crash Traces and Directed Model Checking" at SANER 2015 won the best paper award.

  • Nov. 14. Dr. Hamou-Lhadj was invited to give a talk organized by IEEE Toronto at Ryerson University.
  • Sep. 14. Dr. Hamou-Lhadj is on the organization committee of MODELS`15, SANER`15, PCODA`15, INCOM`15, and CIIA`15.
  • Sep. 14 Master student, Amirreza Soudi, is spending an internship at Microsoft, Redmond, USA.
  • Sep. 14 Postdoc Wael Khreich was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the Faculty of Graduate Studies in recognition for his work on organizing the National Postdoctoral Appreciation Week.
  • Aug. 14. The SBA research lab members would like to congratulate Dr. Maryam Mirzakhani, an Iranian mathematician, currently a professor at Stanford University for being awarded the prestigious Fields award. Dr. Mirzakhani is the first woman to recieve the award, and as such she is an inspiration to many women around the world, including members of the SBA lab.

  • Aug. 14. Our paper on "Total-ADS: Automated Anomaly Detection System" is accepted at SCAM'14 (14th IEEE International Working Conference on Source Code Analysis and Manipulation), co-located with ICSME'14.
  • Jul. 14. Our paper on "Analyzing Auto-scaling Issues in Cloud Environments" is accepted at CASCON 2014.
  • Jun. 14. Our paper on "Toward a UCM-based Approach for Recovering System Availability Requirements from Execution Traces" is accepted at SAM'14 (the 8th System Analysis and Modelling Conference), co-located with MODELS'14.
  • Apr. 14. Our paper on "Identifying Recurring Faulty Functions in Field Traces of a Large Industrial Software System" is accepted with revisions in the IEEE Transactions on Reliability journal.
  • Apr.14. Dr. Hamou-Lhadj was invited to give a talk on Software Tracing and its applications to Software Anomaly Detection at the UQO Center for Research in Applying Intelligent Technologies in Organizations (Creatio).
  • Apr. 14. Congratulations to Efraim Lopez for defending successfully his thesis on "Automatic Generation of Real-Time Avionics System Configurations".
  • Mar.14. Dr. Hamou-Lhadj was invited to give a talk on the use of Software Tracing technologies in Cyber-Security at a workshop in Ottawa, organized by DRDC and the Canadian Department of Defence.
  • Feb.14. Our paper on "Feature Location in Practice: Debugging Aircraft Simulation Systems" is accepted at ICSE (Software Engineering In Practice Track). Acceptance rate: 21%.

  • Dec. 13. There is an opening for a postdoctoal fellow in the area of Software Engineering starting from Jan. 2013 (flexible).
  • Dec. 12. Dr. Hamou-Lhadj receives the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science Teaching Excellence Award for academic year 2011-2012.
  • Oct. 12. The MAGIC project with Ericsson for wich Dr. Hamou-Lhadj is a co-investigaor, is listed as one of the 15 exemplary university - industry collaboration projects in the NSERC 2012 annual executive report.
  • Apr. 12. The MAGIC project received the ADRIQ "Partenariat technologique" Prize 2011.
  • Mar. 12. In 2012, the SBA Research Lab has received four grants from NSERC, MITACS, CRIAQ, Ericsson, DRDC, CAE, and Opal-RT.
