Guidelines for prospective graduate students
Here are some notes for you if you are interested in pursuing a graduate
degree in Computer Science at Concordia. If you would like me to be
work with you as a your supervisor, please read the following notes
before writing to me.
I am currently supervising a large number of graduate students, I cannot
take all the students who may want to work with me. Each time I accept a
new student, I have less time for: the students who are already working
with me, my family and for myself.
I will consider application from students who meet most of the following:
- Good communicator i.e., must be fluent (read, write and speak) at least one of the official languages of Canada: French or English.
- Good to excellent in academic background (i.e., >>B+ or whose GPA is higher than 3.75)
- Must have a goal to finish the graduate work in the shortest possible time.
- Not afraid to spend the time required to write and document decent code which works!
If you feel that you meet the above criteria, please send me an
email: tell me about yourself and what you want to do, and why
you want me to work with you.
I will try to answer your email
message, but I cannot guarantee to do so.
I receive many
applications and I answer only those that I feel would meet my criteria.
