2nd Workshop on Optimization of Optical Networks (OON 2005)

April 14-15, 2005 - Montréal

Scope

The objective of the workshop is to bring together researchers from the academic and the industry worlds for an exchange on the future of optical networks. The presentations will focus on the theory and application of optimization and simulation tools to the design and management of optical networks, in particular the linking of optical network resources to data traffic patterns in order to answer efficiently to network growth and service provisioning.

Location

Université de Montréal

Pavillon André-Aisensdadt

2920 Chemin de la Tour

Montréal (Québec) H3T 1J4

Room 6254 and Salon Maurice Labbé

See the map of the Université de Montréal campus for details on the location of the Pavillon André Aisensdadt (building #15).

Call for Papers

In addition of the tutorial conferences, we welcome submissions on the research topics of the workshop. Authors interested by presenting their research results should contact one of the workshop organizers and send an abstract.

Program [Final program] [List of abstracts]

The goal of the OON scientific program is to encourage discussions of the latest information and results in the field of the optimization of fiber optic networks and related technologies. We seek presentations from industry as well as from academia.

Registration Fees

The registration fees are 50$ (20$ for the graduate students, free for undergraduate students) and include the lunch during the two days of the workshop. To register, please complete the following form [pdf] and return it by fax at 514 - 343 7249.
