How to Use the SMA Google+ Community

If you want to look at or post used items for sale then select the “Arduino or Mechatronics Items for Sale” category.

Note that the best time to buy and sell items is normally during the first 1-4 weeks of the term, especially the winter term as there are many mechatronics courses offered that term in the MIE department (MECH 471, MECH 472, MECH 390, etc.).

Buyers

For buyers I recommend you ask for a 40% discount over list price and a demonstration that the items function properly. In order to view / buy an item:

1) Join the community. Note you can leave the community after you have viewed the advertisements.

2) Select the three vertical dot icon in the top left window and select “Preferences”.

3) Then select “Sort by top posts or most recent" and pick "most recent”.

Sellers

In order to advertise items for sale (I recommend a 40% discount over list):

1) Join the community. Note you can leave the community after you have posted the advertisement.

2) Add a post listing your items and email address.

3) Delete / modify your post after you have sold your items so potential buyers don't try to contact you anymore.
