Basic-Manifolds
This demo has the following subdirectories:
- 2D-ODE:
This demo computes part of the 2D unstable manifold of an
equilibrium (the origin) for a 2D ODE, i.e., it computes a
partial phase diagram. This is done for two different ODES,
using somewhat different methods:
- Fixed-Length:
Here an orbit "sweeps" the unstable manifold, keeping
its length fixed, which is appropriate when there are
no connecting orbits in the manifold.
- Variable-Length:
Here an orbit also "sweeps" the unstable manifold, but
its length is variable, namely, it decreases when a
connecting orbit is approached, thereby allowing the
continuation to pass the connecting orbit.
- 3D-ODE:
This demo does the same as "2D-ODE", but for a 3D ODE. It also
has two subdirectories, "Fixed-Length" and "Variable-Length".
