Global Engineering Award:

In March 2014, Dr. Galal was awarded the 2013-2014 Global Engineering Award. Starting 2012, each year Engineers Without Borders Concordia recognize a professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science who goes beyond the traditional engineering curriculum and instills the mindset of being aware of the social, environmental and technological impacts of engineering decisions.

Teaching Excellence Award:

In June 2007, Dr. Galal was awarded the 10th Annual Faculty of Engineering & Computer Science “Teaching Excellence Award” in recognition of his contributions in teaching.
