Under incremental construction.
The course is full, what can I do to get into the course?
If the course is full, then you can join the waiting list.
If the waiting list is full, then you can wait. Maybe someone will DNE.
There is nothing else you can do.
I am missing a pre-requisite for COMP 333. Can I still do the course?
No.
Each of the pre-requisites is important in order for you to be prepared for the course.
I do not know Python. Will I be able to do the course?
Yes.
You should have enough programming experience from the pre-requisites to be able to learn Python yourself
from the resources and lab sessions provided for the course.
Why are there no Zoom lectures?
In moving to remote learning under the time pressure to re-organize the course,
I had to decide where I could best use my effort to best facilitate your learning.
I decided that the best use of my effort was to provide
an extensive set of well-designed laboratory exercises,
write transcripts for the material of each lecture for you to read,
and to provide self-test quizzes for feedback.
Why are you not using Moodle?
In normal course delivery, I never use Moodle because I find I have more control
by constructing my own web site for a course.
I do plan to use Moodle for the timed quizzes this semester for COMP 333.
I have poor internet connectivity, which makes it difficult to use Zoom, or to do timed quizzes in Moodle.
What should I do?
You should drop the course.
I am in a different timezone, which makes it difficult to attend lab sessions via Zoom,
or to do timed quizzes in Moodle.
What should I do?
You should drop the course, if you cannot be awake at the scheduled times.
The lab sessions are compulsory, and so are the timed quizzes.
