Biography

 

Ferhat Khendek received a Bachelor degree (Ingénieur d’Etat) in Computer Engineering, option Software, from Université de Tizi Ouzou, Algeria,

the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Université de Montréal in 1989 and 1995, respectively. 

 

Ferhat Khendek joined the Computer Science Department of Concordia University in 1994 as a Lecturer.

In 1996, he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department as Assistant Professor.

He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2000, and to Professor in 2007. 

 

Ferhat Khendek is holding, since September 2011, the NSERC/Ericsson Senior Industrial Research Chair in Model Based Software Management.

 

During the 2001/2002 and 2008/2009 academic years he was on a sabbatical leave with Ericsson Research Canada.

 

Ferhat Khendek is a member of l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), member and secretary of the SDL Forum Society,

member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society and the IEEE Communications Society.
