Applications -> Programming -> Eclipse Luna
File -> New -> Java Project
Add required User Libraries
Click "New" and name it HADOOP-COMMON
Select HADOOP-COMMON and click "Add External JARs..." button
|User Library||JAR files location|
Add User Libraries to your project.
Right Click on your project and select
Properties. From the left pane, select
Java Build Path. Click on Libraries
tab and then click on Add Library... button.
From Add Library window, select User Library and click Next. Then from the list, select above generated User Libraries.
You can download sample WordCount program from here
Right click on your project and select New -> Folder. Call it input. Then put your input files there. For WordCount project you can download sample files from here and here. Both files are required for this project.
Run -> Run Configurations...
From left pane select Java Application and from top click on New launch configuration button
Name your configuration WordCount
Select your project
Select WordCount class as Main Class
Click on Arguments tab
put input/ and output in separate line
Now you are able to run your simple Hadoop application. After running the application, refresh your project once to see output folder
NOTE: You have to delete your output folder manually in order to run the project again.
