In 1998 a Concordia grad student by the name of Yves Roy decided that it was time to have some fun. His interest in the Chinese culture led him to participate in the Montreal Dragong Boat Race Festival (MDBRF) the previous year. So he rounded up some equally frustrated colleagues, and The Bubble Bath Dragons were born. Not taking themselves too seriously (hence the name), but having the umph! to compete, the team has raced in MDBRF since then.
The Bubble Bath Dragons have come a long way since it's humble beginnings. We placed 3rd in 1999 and 4th in 2000 in the Student category at MDBRF. This year we are more competitive and are striving to be in the top 3 once again. We are mostly made up of Computer Science and Engineering students. Having spent too much time in the labs we have a lot of energy to expend and nothing can hold us back.
As always, we are taking fun seriously.
