    3. Canonical and Standard Forms (1/2 lecture)

 

    4. K-Map representation (1/2 lecture)

    3. K-Map minimization (1/2 lecture)

    5. 2-level and multilevel representation and minimization (1/2 lecture)

    6. Timing Analysis of combinational circuit (1/2 lecture)

 

    7. Analysis and design procedures (1/2 lecture)

    8. Popular arithmetic and logical combinational circuits (1.5 lectures)

    9. Decoders/Encoders and MUXes (1/2 lecture)

 

    Review for Mid-term Test (1/2 lecture)

 

    10. Introduction to sequential circuits, Latches and Flip Flops (1.5 lectures)

    11. Analysis of sequential circuits (1/2 lecture)

    12. The state diagram (1/2 lecture)

    13. Synchronous circuit design (1.5 lectures)

 

    14. Registers and counters (1 lectures)

 

    15. Memory and PLD (1 lectures)

   

    Review for Final Test (1/2 lecture)

 

Laboratory: There will be approximately 5 experiments (see schedule of COEN laboratory coordinator).

 

Grading:

5% Assignments

20% Laboratory, passing the lab. is a requirement.(15% reports, 5% exam)

25% Midterm Exam (July 20, 2013).  (Note: Failing to write the midterm results in losing the corresponding 25%)

50% Final Exam
