Lab Information

There are three servers in the network lab, all of them will be put in the same vlan.  They have different functions in the lab.

Note:

 -   TFTP server on Dizmo is used to load the lab configuration files. When a router boots up, it will download the configuration files from TFTP server.

 

 -    FTP server is only used for the Admin to store and backup the configuration.

 -    DHCP service provided by switch 3550 directly.

 -    Syslog server is used for all Cisco routers and switch

 -    NTP service is provided by Linux server and the Gateway. The gateway time can be associated with the time server on Internet.

 -   Filers (User’s home). Each user /home is provided by the Gateway. Actually these /home are on the encs filer and mounted on the Gateway.  But the user can logon this server to run any commands in a shell.
