Biosketch

Ramin Banan Sadeghian received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees both in electronic engineering from Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, 1998) and K.N. Toosi University of Technology (Tehran, 2002), respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Concordia University (Montreal, 2007). During 1997–2000 he was with the Faragir-Fan Rayaneh Inc. as an Electronic Engineer, specializing in industrial automation and biomedical instrumentation. In 2000, he joined the R&D center of Iran Khodro Industrial Group where he worked on automotive electronics and vehicle security systems and contributed to the design of the first prevailing Iranian national automobile, Samand (codename X7). He is presently a Part-time Faculty Member and Research Associate at the Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering, Concordia University. His research interests include fabrication and characterization of nanoscale electron devices, microsensors and SOI technology. Dr. Banan Sadeghian is a member of the Canadian Center for Biorecognition and Biosensors (CBB).
