Nicklin, J., (2003), "Mycology lecture course", School of Biological and Chemical Sciences, Birkbeck College, University of London.
Abstract:
"Today's course will cover general aspects of the biology of fungi, considered from the morphological, functional and physiological point of view. The practical work will supplement lectures to give a broad view of the diversity of form and function of the fungi, their modes of sexual and asexual reproduction, growth habits and nutrition. We will also cover the activities of fungi in the environment, as parasites of man, as bioremediators and biodeteriorators and as agents of intoxication and poisoning.
