Abstract:
Despite its small size, the factory-built housing sector is an important part of the Canadian homebuilding industry. This study provides a comprehensive profile of the factory-built housing sector, including the economic conditions in which its producers increasingly compete, as well as the innovative and environmentally-friendly production practices which it employs. The report also highlights future prospects for the factory-built housing sector, as certain niche markets are expected to increase the demand for affordable housing.
