Please consider attending these events. </p> </font> --> <h2 id="education"> Education</h2> <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="3"> <p> Ph.D., Information and Computer Science, University of California, Irvine, 2005<br> M.S., Information and Computer Science, University of California, Irvine, 2003<br> B.Tech., Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, 1998 </p> </font> <h2 id="research"> Research</h2> <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="3"> <p> My research interests are in design methods for embedded and ubiquitous systems, system level modeling and formal methods. <br /><br /> My research group at Concordia is investigating novel methods for automatically generating fast and accurate models to provide embedded system and software designers with early and reliable feedback on system performance and energy consumption. We are also investigating a new technique for FPGA-assisted modeling of embedded systems. On the design optimization front, we are developing algorithms for online mapping of embedded applications on multicore platforms. <br><br> Our work is supported by an <a href="http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/professors-professeurs/grants-subs/dgigp-psigp_eng.asp" target="main">NSERC Discovery Grant</a>, an <a href="http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/Professors-Professeurs/RPP-PP/Engage-Engagement_eng.asp" target = "main">NSERC Engage Grant</a> with <a href="http://www.rim.com" target = "main">Research In Motion</a>, and an <a href = "http://www.fqrnt.gouv.qc.ca/en/index.htm" target = "main">FQRNT New Researcher Grant</a>. We are thankful to these organizations for their generous support. <br> <br> In my past life, I was the architect and lead developer of <a href="http://www.cecs.uci.edu/~ese" target="main">Embedded System Environment (ESE)</a> framework for modeling and synthesis of multicore embedded systems.
