COEN6551 (Summer 2024) - Information on Project Report Preparation

Following are some guidelines for the preparation of the CAD Project Report:

• The report should not exceed 20 pages (single column standard report style)

• The Project Report should be saved in PDF format and uploaded by the group leader on Moodle before 23:59 on Monday, June 17, 2024.

• Do NOT include any HDL code in your report

• The report shall contain:
  • Confirmation of Originality Form (signed by all team members)
  • Cover page with
    • Title (proper title, not just "COEN6551 Project")
    • Group #
    • Authors Names and IDs
    • Date
    • Abstract
  • Dedicated Sections for
    • Introduction (motivation, objective, overview)
    • Description of system behavior and function
    • RTL synthesis using Synposys Design Compiler
    • RTL-gate level Equivalence Checking
    • Gate-gate level Equivalence Checking (bug hunting)
    • Description of Verification process in Synopsys Formality
    • Description of Verification process in Cadence Conformal
    • Analysis of verification results
  • Conclusions (Summary, Discussion, Challenges)
  • References
