Postdoctoral Fellows

Somayeh Kianpisheh, Ph.D.


Email:

Somayeh Kianpisheh received her B.S. degree in software computer engineering from University of Tehran, Iran in 2004. She got her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, Iran in 2010 and 2016, respectively. Her research interests include distributed systems particularly resource allocation and performance modeling in 5G, Clouds, Internet of Things (IoT), and Content Driven Networks (CDN). She has published several papers in the international journals and conferences, and performed reviews for several international journals.

Sepideh Malektaji

Sepideh Malektaji was born in 1989. She received her B.Sc. degree in Computer Software Engineering from International university of Imam Khomeini . In 2015 she completed her M.S. studies in the field of Computer Architecture in Mohaghegh Ardabili. Curretly she is a Ph.D student in Concordia university. Her current research interests are Computer Networks, Cloud computing, Virtualization, and Machine Learning. 

Marsa Rayani

Marsa is a Ph.D. student in Information System Engineering at Concordia University, Canada since 2016 and she works on 5G, resource allocation, NFV, algorithm and design, Information Centric Networking (ICN) and Content Delivery on ICN. She received her Bachelors in Computer Software Engineering in Iran in 2008 and her Masters in Computer Science, Distributed Computing from University Putra Malaysia in 2012. 

Raha Abbasi

Raha is currently a Ph.D. researcher in Information System Engineering from Concordia University. She received her Master degree in computer engineering from Hamadan University, Iran in 2014. Also, she worked in the industry for 4 years. At present, her research interests are Cloud computing, CDN, and machine learning.

Razibul Hasan

Razibul Hasan obtained his Master of Science in Computer Networks and Communications from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2014 and was the recipient of the Chancellor Award. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering degree in the year 2008 from American International University Bangladesh (AIUB). He has professional work experience in e-Commerce, Web Technology and Cloud Computing Industry with several corporation. Razib also worked as Instructor in AIUB and Research Associate in Prime University, Bangladesh. At present, he is studying a PhD program in Information and Systems Engineering at Concordia University, Canada. His research interests include CDN, Cloud Computing, DASH  and ICN.

Mohammad Ishfaque Jahan Rafee

Mohammad Ishfaque Jahan Rafee holds the BSc degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering(EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) since 2014. After graduation he started working in Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited as Solution Engineer in Cloud Computing Solution Sales Department on September 2014. He moved to new role as Account Manager for Government & Enterprise Department at ZTE Corporation (Bangladesh) Limited, primarily overseeing National Data Center Project in Kaliakair, Gazipur on November 2017. On September 2018, he started his new journey as Master of Applied Science student under Electrical and Computer Engineering(ECE) Department at Concordia University. His primary research interest is related to Cloud Computing, CDN and Video Streaming.

Narjes Tahghigh Jahromi

Narjes received her Bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Shiraz Azad University, Iran, and obtained her Master’s degree in Information Technology/Networking from Sharif University of Technology-International Campus, Iran. She also got her Ph.D. degree in Information System Engineering at Concordia University, Canada in 2018. Her research interests include content delivery networks, cloud computing, NFV and SDN.

Diala Naboulsi, Ph.D.

Diala Naboulsi obtained the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from INSA Lyon, France in 2015. As part of a double degree program, she received in 2012 the M.S. degree in Computer Science from INSA Lyon, France and the M.Eng. degree in Telecommunications from the Lebanese University, Lebanon. She has been a visiting Ph.D. student at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2013. Her research interests cover a variety of aspects in the areas of Cellular Networks, Data Analysis, Vehicular Networks, and Content Delivery Networks. She currently serves as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences.

Shohreh Ahvar

She received B.S degree in Information Technology and M.S degree in Electrical Engineering-Telecommunication (Networks) both from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran. She is currently a Ph.D candidate at the Institut Mines-Telecom, Telecom SudParis in co-accreditation with the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6) on the topic of cloud based content delivery networks. She is also a collaborating researcher at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada working on Ericson funded project. Her research interests are Network Function Virtualization, Content Delivery Networks, Cloud computing and Wireless Sensor Networks.

 

Jagruti Sahoo, Ph.D.

Jagruti Sahoo received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan in January 2013. She worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Sherbrooke, Canada from 2013 to 2014. She joined Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering, Concordia University as a Post-doctoral Fellow in February 2015. Her research interests include Internet of Things, content delivery networks, Network Functions Virtualization and Software Defined Networking.

He holds a Ph.D (2014) in Computer Science from Institut Mines-Telecom, Telecom SudParis, France and an M.Sc. (2010) in Computer Science from the University of Tunis-ELManar, Tunisia. His research interests include Cloud Computing, Service-Oriented Computing and Internet of Things, Content Delivery Networks, and Network Function Virtualization. He is member of several Technical and Organization Program Committees and Reviewer for several international conferences, journals and magazines.

Mohammad Ali Salahuddin (S’09–M’15) received the B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Karachi, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, in 1999, the M.S. degree in computer science from the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan, in 2001, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, USA, in 2003 and 2014, respectively. His research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, QoS and QoE in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (WAVE, IEEE 802.11p and IEEE 1609.4), Internet of Things, Content Delivery Networks, Software-Defined Networks, Network Function Virtualization and Cloud Resource Management. Dr. Salahuddin serves as a Technical Program Committee member and Reviewer for IEEE journals, magazines and conferences.

Peyman TalebiFard, Ph.D.

Peyman completed his PhD and MASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2014 and 2009. He obtained his BEng at Carleton University in 2006 with high distinction. Scope of his research includes design and analysis of architectures, protocols, and management for wireless and mobile communication systems. He has held research positions at Ericsson Canada, Huawei USA and Mobidia Inc. Canada.

Sandhya Shanmugasundaram
