I am an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Concordia Institute of Information System Engineering and Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Concordia University ( one of the top 100 universities under 50 years in the world). My research interests span across multimedia applications, networking, and wireless communications. I am particularly interested in 360 Video streaming, Virtual and augmented reality, Video gaming, Video Conferencing ,Congestion Control/ Prediction,Multi-view/3D Video Communication, Proxy Caching, Video Transcoder and Rate Control/Adaptation for low-latency interactive video as well as resource management for Internet video delivery. My main goal is to improve video perceived quality at the end user. Some of my research has been done in collaboration with and/or adopted in industry by companies such as Magor, Cisco, Vantrix and Ericsson.
