High-Speed Networks 2009 (HSN
2009)
Author Guidelines
Papers must be registered and submitted through EDAS by the
deadline on the main page.
Your submission must meet the following criteria:
- Authors must be listed
- Submit your manuscript in
PDF format; make sure that you have embedded all fonts
- Paper Length: 6 pages
maximum
- 11pt font
- Figures and tables must be
legible
- Formatting: we strongly
recommend you use one of the IEEE templates linked below, but ensure you
use 11pt font
- Here is an example
LaTeX file using IEEEtran template (see the template table below) with 11
point font and the resulting pdf file.
(A sample manuscript from IEEE is also available as a
visual aid for formatting, but notice the font size of this sample is
10pt)
Templates
We realize that authors may find the length of the submissions somewhat confining.
While we understand the difficulties involved, the short length has long been a
feature of the Global Internet Symposium and encourages new ideas that can be
laid out simply and concisely. The chairs would like to request that you view
the short format as a challenge to present crisp, clear discussion of the key
ideas and interesting results of your work.
The authors of the accepted papers should closely
follow the instructions below:
- REGISTER for HSN
2009 by MARCH 20:
http://www.ieee-infocom.org/2009/conferenceRegistration.htm
At least one author must register and present each accepted paper at the
workshop. Registering by March 20 provides the benefit of early
registration rates.
- REVISE your paper by
APRIL 4 by carefully addressing all the comments in the provided reviews.
As soon as the revision is complete, submit the camera-ready version
and copyright transfer form for your paper to IEEE:
http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/infocom09-ws/index.html
Use info09-ws as a conference ID at the above IEEE Conference
eXpress website. Ensure that the paper title and author list are the same
as in the HSN 2009 program:
http://www.encs.concordia.ca/~assi/hsn2009/program.html
3.
PREPARE a succinct clear presentation for your paper.
This year, the workshop will follow the style of shorter presentations, about 15
minutes per paper. Practice thoroughly in advance and make sure that your
presentation communicates most important aspects of the work within the
allocated time.
If you have any questions please email the TPC Chairs.
