Design of Reflectarray Antenna Integrated with Solar Cells

Hassan, Mohamed (2015)

The project involves several novel ideas for a better integration procedure for reflectarray antennas with solar cells. Starting with providing a measurement based model for solar cells, an adequate reflectarray antenna design is developed in the solar cells environment. In addition, optically transparent materials have been exploited not to deteriorate the solar cells energy harvesting capabilities. The developed design can is a good choice for satellite ground stations in rural areas or any other application that requires compact dual functional solar cells/high gain antenna devices.
