image Dr. Simona Badilescu is a senior scientist with a background in physical chemistry and a rich experience in teaching and research. She received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Bucharest (Romania) and specialized in molecular spectroscopy, surface science, and analytical applications of infrared spectroscopy. Presently, her research interest includes nanomaterials and their sensing applications. (Current)
image Dr. Pierre Pottier received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Control Engineering from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, in 2001. He has been working in the Optoelectronics Group at the University of Glasgow, UK, and at the Micro and Nano Systems Laboratory at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. He is currently working on integrated optics for lab on a chip. His research interests include photonic crystals, integrated optics, lasers, MEMS, and microfluidics. (Current)

Dr. Gino Rinaldi completed his Ph.D in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Concordia University in 2006. He completed his Masters in Applied Physics in 2001 and Bachelors in Applied physics from Concordia University in 1998. Dr. Rinaldi has authored 12 publications in journals and has around 20 presentations in conferences. His recearch interests include cantilever based MEMS, Study of thermal, accoustic and piezo influences in mechanical behavior of cantilever, Silicon Lasing, among others. (2008)
