We are a team of enthusiast engineers looking to have a positive impact in people's health through technology that lasts a lifetime
Machine Learning for Sensor Data Streams
We investigate and develop novel machine learning methods for processing sensor data streams.
A focus on people
We develop application based on the methods studied to understand how researchers and users interact with them and how they affect our health decisions. We aim to develop tools that help us understand relations between behaviors and health
Software Engineering for Machine Learning
We study how to develop reliable and reproducible data pipelines for sensor data processing. We develop software and hardware tools for collecting, storing, and processing large amounts of data, such as sensors, wearable devices, and data management and analytics tools.
Interdisciplinary research
We foster interdisciplinary research by collaborating with researchers from diverse fields to work on problems related to health and aging.
The Laboratory is based in Montreal, CA at Concordia University. Montreal is exceptional; safe, vibrant and diverse, with new things to discover around every corner. The Kanien’kehá:ka Nation is recognized as the custodians of the lands and waters on which we gather and conduct our activities. With a population of 1.7 million, Tiohtià:ke/Montreal is home to four major universities and several clinical research centres and has been named the best student city in the world. It offers the most affordable tuition in Canada.
The city enjoys a thriving multicultural scene. Bilingualism is a part of Montreal’s tradition and adds to its inspiring atmosphere. While supporting a significant anglophone population, it is one of the largest French-speaking cities in the world.
Montreal is famed for its innovative culinary scene and festivals. It was also the first metropolis to be designated a UNESCO City of Design by the Global Alliance for Cultural Diversity.
The city is recognized globally as an important centre for commerce, aerospace, transport, finance, pharmaceuticals, technology, design, gaming and film.
The ones who make the lab great
Assistant Professor, PI
Dr. Lago is an Assistant Professor at the ECE Department of Concordia University. She has a PhD in Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes
Doctoral Student
2nd year PhD student in Concordia University. Her research focus is Remote routine activity monitoring of senior citizen.
PhD Student
