About Me
I am a MASc student at Concordia Univeristy under supervision of Prof. Lingyu Wang, and Prof. Suryadipta Majumdar. I am also involved as a researcher in NSERC/Ericsson IRC in SDN/NFV Security. Currently, my research project is ACE-WARP, an academic research project that aims to optimize the utilization of non-disruptive attack mitigation solutions.
I am highly interested in machine learning application in security/privacy, threat analysis, offensive security, and usable security/privacy topics.
My Leading Projects
So far, we WARPED the defense and mitigated attack before it even happens! ACE-WARP is an optimizer to help with the non-disruptive mitigation solutions to impose the minimum cost on the deployed services.
Warping the defense is Van Gogh Distortion. First mitigate the attack and then wait for the attacker to come and get busted. Pretty cool, eh?!
Imagine if an attacker plays with the firewall rules by sending certain traffic and put us in a running wheel to reorder the rules (a NP-complete problem) for less lookup latency. We dynamically scales in and out the firewalls across multiple administrative domains in the cloud for an efficient rule optimization, traffic filtering, and attack response.
My first emprical software engineering research project. RUCP is an study of considering software risk factors in the Use Case Points (UCP) method as one of the widely used methods on software projects cost and effort estimation.
