Dr. Medraj is an associate professor at the Department of Mechanican Engineering of Concordia University. He received his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1994 and Master's degree in Design and Manufacturing Engineering in 1996 from University of Jordan. He arrived to Canada in 1998 to do his Ph.D. at the Materials Engineering Department of McGill University which he finished in 2001. He stayed one more year in the same department as a Post Doctoral Fellow. He joined Concordia University in 2002 as an assistant professor and was promoted to Associate Prof in 2006. Dr. Medraj is a registered professional engineer in Ontario.<br>

Dr. Medraj's research efforts fit into two primary focus areas: (1) thermodynamics of materials; and (2) the development and characterization of novel materials. In his research, he uses thermodynamic modeling and experimental investigation of phase equilibria as means to understand existing materials and to develop new ones. For more information about Dr. Medraj's research activities, visit the web pages of his [http://users.encs.concordia.ca/~tmg/index.php?title=Category:Group_Members group members].
