  • Concept:

    VOC transport

VOC can be emitted from building materials and paints, and indoor furnishing. VOC transport is a mass transfer problem. However, there are difficulties to the modeling, mainly due to lack of data and research, but also due to the complexity or rather the huge number of VOCs that are involved. Like vapor diffusion, VOCs can diffuse through the envelope. The permeability, sinking and source effects are VOC specific.
