Bower, J., (2001), "Building a new healthy house", Healthy Indoor Environments Conference, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-April.
Abstract:

For over a decade, John Bower has been an advocate of healthy construction. He has written several popular books on the subject, and has actually built several healthy houses. But does he practice what he preaches? This paper will describe his own house-a house that was built to be very energy efficient and, at the same time, have minimal indoor air pollution. John's wife, Lynn Marie, is chemically sensitive, and the house was designed and built to meet her needs. The building envelope was constructed in an airtight manner, fresh air is provided through a mechanical ventilation system, and many low-polluting materials where used, so there is excellent control over the indoor air.
