Part-Time Research Assistants

When positions are available paid, part-time research positions will be in conjunction with a Montreal-based auditing firm, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton. Any past experience in blockchain technology, cryptography, cybersecurity or machine learning will be an asset.

FAQs

• "I emailed you but you didn't repond." I get a lot of applications and questions about open positions. I look at every thing I receive but regret that I am unable to respond unless if there is a match.
• "My background is not specifically in security/cryptography." This is fine for a MASc. However for a PhD, you should have a solid background in cryptography/security and you should also have at least one publication in a recognizable venue (does not have to be a top venue) in the field. My opinion is that a PhD is too late to shift research directions.
• "Is tuition at Concordia going up?" The recent annoncements from the Quebec government do not impact thesis-based MASc and PhD students for now.
