Our research focuses on applying experimental, computational and analytical approaches to investigate fluid dynamics problems and develop effective flow control strategies relevant to current engineering needs.

Please visit other sections of our website to learn more about our research interests, publications and past projects, facilities, research team and collaborators and available research opportunities.

We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to reach their full potential, irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation, religion and ethnicity. Therefore, CTRL strives to promote diversity in the composition of lab members and ensures that all scholarly activities uphold equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles. These efforts bring strength, promote creativity and novelty, provide a sound inclusive environment for research and collaborations, and ensure that our innovative scientific research and technologies benefit the entire society.
Our current research interests include:
  • Turbulent flows
  • Flow control
  • Bluff body aerodynamics
  • Jets
  • Turbulent boundary layers
  • Open channels
  • Wall roughness
