PCA -- Principal component analysis

"Principal component analysis (PCA) is a mathematical procedure that uses an orthogonal transformation to convert a set of observations of possibly correlated variables into a set of values of uncorrelated variables called principal components. " -- wiki

When PCA is used for IRT, findings can be obtained from the differences between multiple IR images on the same object (wall, building, window, or small region of concern). It has been used to find moisture in envelope, air leakage, defects, and other diagnostics of building envelope systems, and systems inside buildings such as HVAC.
