    Test Procedures and Performance

    Air Infiltration Test

Test unit in accordance with ASTM E 283 at a static air pressure difference of 6.24 psf.

Air infiltration shall not exceed .06 cfm per square foot of fixed wall area

    Water Resistance Test

Test unit in accordance with ASTM E 331.

There shall be no uncontrolled water leakage at a static test pressure of 10.00 psf

    Dynamic Water Resistance Test

Test unit in accordance with AAMA 501-94.

There shall be no uncontrolled water leakage at a dynamic test pressure of 10.00 psf

    Uniform Load Deflection Test

Test in accordance with ASTM 330-79. Architect to specify design wind pressure, both positive and negative required by the governing building code, as calculated from ANSI A58.1, or as determined by boundary layer wind tunnel testing. Use 20.00 psf as minimum.

The system shall withstand ( ) psf positive and ( ) psf negative design wind pressure normal to the plane of the wall.

Deflection under design load shall not exceed L/175 of the clear span or 3/4".

    Uniform Load Structural Test

Test in accordance with ASTM 330-79 at a pressure 1.5 times the design wind pressure in 1.05.4.b.

At conclusion of the test there shall be no glass breakage, permanent damage to fasteners, curtain wall parts, or any other damage which would cause the curtain wall to be defective.

    Condensation Resistance Test (CRF)

Test unit in accordance with ASTM 1503.

Condensation Resistance Factor (CRF) shall not be less than 54.

    Thermal Transmittance Test (Conductive U-Value)

Test in accordance with ASTM 1503.

Conductive thermal transmittance (U-Value) shall not be more than .69 BTU/hr/degree F/SF.
