    Essay:

    International building physics toolbox

"IBPT is the library of Simulink models, specially constructed for the thermal system analysis in building physics. There are two main models, representing the most frequent objects of interest: a construction elements (wall, window) as a layered structure of different building materials, and a zone (ventilated space), which is enclosed by the building envelope.

Construction models provide detailed calculations of the thermal state of each component in the structure, according to the surrounding boundary conditions. The thermal condition of the zone is determined by the heat gains through the construction elements and through the HVAC system and internal gains, additional components presented by the model of the same name.

This project is initiated by two research teams: Building Physics Department from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, and Department of Civil Engineering from Technical University of Denmark."
