Soret Effect, mass transport under temperature gradient

Charles Soret (Swiss scientist) dicovered in 1879 that mass transport can be driven by temperature gradients.

For building context, the moisture movement in exterior walls with sun shining can in part be driven by Soret effect. It is referred to as: reverse diffusion, solar driven moisture flow, etc.

This effect is normally not considered by HAM models, except for a very few studies.
