Objective

Safety: An objective of this Code is to reduce the probability that a person in or adjacent to the building will be exposed to an unacceptable safety hazard as a result of the design and construction of the building.

Sub-Objectives

Fire Safety: an objective of this Code is to reduce the probability that a person in or adjacent to the building will be exposed to an unacceptable fire hazard as a result of the design and construction of the building.

Structural Safety: An objective of this Code is to reduce the probability that a person in or adjacent to the building will be exposed to an unacceptable hazard due to failure of the structure as a result of the design and construction of the building.

Safety-in-Use: An objective of this Code is to reduce the probability that a person in or adjacent to the building will be exposed to an unacceptable risk of injury from hazards as a result of the design and construction of the building.
