Internet-of-Things Lab - COEN446
ECE IoR laboratory is located in H867. The laboratory is equipped with seven sets of IoT development systems. Each set includes a Windows workstation, STM32WB5MM-DK and a Raspberry Pi4, etc.
Lab information
- Room: H867
- Door-code: (for TAs only)
- 7 STM32WB5MM-DK with Pi4.
- Seats: the room can occupy 7 groups, e.g. about 14 seats.
Real-time Windows Workstation
In the lab, a real-time development host is a Windows machine running Windows 10 64bit OS. On this host, some application tools are installed:
- STM32CubeIDE, an all-in-one multi-OS development tool, which is part of the STM32Cube software ecosystem. STM32CubeIDE is an advanced C/C++ development platform with peripheral configuration, code generation, code compilation, and debug features for STM32 microcontrollers and microprocessors.
Home Assistant System – Raspberry Pi 4 Model-B
- Hardware specification: Processor: Broadcom BCM2711, quad-core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8), 64-bit SoC @ 1.5GHz Memory: 4GB LPDDR4
- Home Assistant OS, an open-source software used for home automation. It serves as an integration platform and smart home hub, allowing users to control smart home devices. The software emphasizes local control and privacy and is designed to be independent of any specific Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem.
