In this course you will understand the mechanical behavior of materials (and metals in particular). This will include the deformation behavior of metals and the ways that metals can fail. More importantly, you will study different methods that are used in the industry to make materials stronger. For more information, please read the [http://users.encs.concordia.ca/~mmedraj/mech321/321OUTLINE-2014.docx course outline].

Assignments

Solutions of the midterm exam will be discussed during the tutorial session on Feb 14th.

Sample practice questions will be posted here. Solutions will be discussed during the tutorials. They will NOT be marked.

These questions will be used as the basis for the In-Tutorial Exercises which will take place every 2nd tutorial. They are worth 10% total.
