Postdoctoral Fellows

Amin Ebrahimzadeh, Ph.D.

Amin is a Horizon postdoctoral fellow at Concordia University, Montréal, QC, Canada. He was educated at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Montréal, QC, Canada, and received his PhD in telecommunications with distinction in 2019. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Tabriz in 2009 and 2011, respectively. From 2011 to 2015, he was with Sahand University of Technology, Tabriz, Iran. His research interests include 6G, fiber-wireless networks, Tactile Internet, teleoperation, artificial intelligence enhanced multiaccess edge-computing, and multirobot task allocation. He was a recipient of the Doctoral Research Scholarship from the B2X Program for Foreign Students of Fonds de Recherche du Québec-Nature et Technologies (FRQNT).

Amina Hentati, Ph.D.

Amina is a postdoctoral fellow at Concordia University, Montréal, QC, Canada. She is a recipient of the Postdoctoral Research Scholarship of Fonds de Recherche du Québec-Nature et Technologies (FRQNT). She received the B.Eng. degree from the Higher School of Communication of Tunis (SUPCOM), Tunis, Tunisia, in 2014. She received the M.A.Sc. and the PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, Montréal, QC, Canada, in 2016 and 2021 respectively. She was a Visiting Research Intern with the Department of Computer Science, UQAM, Montréal, from March 2014 to June 2014. Her research is focused on tactile internet, IoT and wireless sensor networks with energy harvesting, resource allocation, performance analysis, optimization, algorithmic solutions for green 5G networks, queuing theory and stochastic processes.


Ph.D. Students

Vahid Maleki Raee

Vahid received his bachelor’s and master's degrees in computer science, majoring in computer systems and networks in 2012 and 2015, respectively, from the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He began his Ph.D. in Information System Engineering as part of the IoT team in May 2016 at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. His work covers Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), the Internet of Things (IoT), optimization, virtualization and Virtual Network Embedding (VNE).

Sepideh Malektaji

Sepideh was born in 1989. She received her B.Sc. degree in Computer Software Engineering from International university of Imam Khomeini . In 2015 she completed her M.S. studies in the field of Computer Architecture in Mohaghegh Ardabili. Curretly she is a Ph.D student in Concordia university. Her current research interests are Computer Networks, Cloud computing, Virtualization, and Machine Learning. 

Marsa Rayani

Nattakorn Promwongsa

Seyedeh Negar Afrasiabi

Francis Boabang

Raha Abbasi

Behshid Shayesteh

Hoda Sedighi

Hoda is a Ph.D. student in Information System Engineering at Concordia University, Canada.She received her M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, Iran and, her B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. She worked as a researcher at the Wireless Networking Laboratory of Shahid Beheshti University in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks, Cognitive Radio Networks, and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, she is an experienced software developer with a demonstrated history of working in the ICT industry. Her main fields of current interest include Cloud and Edge Computing, 5G, and Machine Learning.

Ahsan Saleem

Ahsan begins his Ph.D. in Information and Systems Engineering at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2020. His research interests are Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, and Intelligent Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Mahsa Raeiszadeh

Abbas Soltanian

Mohammad Abu Lebdeh

Mohammad holds the Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University, Canada in 2012. He has received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from
An-Najah National University, Palestine in 2005. He later worked as a Software Engineer for several years.
He started his Ph.D as part of the IMS team in 2013. His work covers Cloud Computing, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software-Ddefined Networks (SDN), IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)
and Evolved Packet Core (EPC).

 

Diala Naboulsi, Ph.D.

Diala Naboulsi obtained the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from INSA Lyon, France in 2015. As part of a double degree program, she received in 2012 the M.S. degree in Computer Science from INSA Lyon, France and the M.Eng. degree in Telecommunications from the Lebanese University, Lebanon. She has been a visiting Ph.D. student at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2013. Her research interests cover a variety of aspects in the areas of Cellular Networks, Data Analysis, Vehicular Networks, and Content Delivery Networks. She currently serves as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences.

Nazmul Alam

Mohammad Nazmul Alam holds the BSc degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), in 2010. He started his working in Advanced R&D team and later moved to Solution Lab in Samsung Research Institute, Bangladesh (SRBD). Peyman TalebiFard, Ph.D.

Shohreh Ahvar

Fatima Ronda

Fatima Zahra Errounda holds a BSc degree in software engineering from Faculte des Sciences et Techniques Hassan II in 2002. She worked for 9 years with C++. She joined the ETS Lab in 2012 for her MSc in Software engineering, she graduated in December 2014. Her work covered Cloud Computing and IoT.

Imran Khan holds a BS degree in Computer Science from COMSATS Institute of IT, Pakistan and a MS degree in Multimedia and Communication from M.A. Jinnah University, Pakistan. He was member of Center of Research in Networks and Telecom (CoReNeT) from 2008 to 2010 and worked on projects funded by French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Internet Society (ISOC), USA. Currently he is a Ph.D. research student at Institut Mines-Télécom, Télécom SudParis jointly with Paris VI (UPMC). He is also a collaborating researcher at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada working on a CISCO funded project with Prof. Glitho. He is student member of IEEE and has also contributed to the IETF standardization. His research interests are Internet of Things (IoT), virtualization, cloud computing, service engineering, and wireless sensor networks.

Jagruti Sahoo, Ph.D.

Jagruti Sahoo received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan in January 2013. She worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Sherbrooke, Canada from 2013 to 2014. She joined Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering, Concordia University as a Post-doctoral Fellow in February 2015. Her research interests include Internet of Things, content delivery networks, Network Functions Virtualization and Software Defined Networking.

Rifat Jafrin

Rifat Jafrin received her bachelor degree (2010) in Computer Science from Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST), Bangladesh. She completed her MBA degree (2013) in Management Information System from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. She worked as a Senior Executive at Getco Telecom, Bangladesh. She started her Master degree in Computer Science from Concordia University from 2014. Ahmad Ferdous Bin Alam

Ferdous holds the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2008. He later worked as a Software Engineer for 5 years in several
compagnies such as AfriGIS Ltd., Eyeball Networks Inc. and NoveTel Ltd. He led a team of over 10 engineers for 2 years.
He started his Masters as part of the CDN-Multimedia team in 2013. His work covers Cloud Computing, Multimedia Conferencing and Software Architecture.

Mohammad Ali Salahuddin (S’09–M’15) received the B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Karachi, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, in 1999, the M.S. degree in computer science from the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan, in 2001, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, USA, in 2003 and 2014, respectively. His research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, QoS and QoE in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (WAVE, IEEE 802.11p and IEEE 1609.4), Internet of Things, Content Delivery Networks, Software-Defined Networks, Network Function Virtualization and Cloud Resource Management. Dr. Salahuddin serves as a Technical Program Committee member and Reviewer for IEEE journals, magazines and conferences.

Suryaveer Chauhan
