| Title |
Using Passive and Active UHF RFID for tracking objects |
| Supervisor |
Dr. Amin Hammad (CIISE) |
| Description |
RFID technology has many advantages over bar codes for identifying and tracking objects. The objectives of this project are: (1) Study the characteristics of different RFID tags. (2) Develop a prototype software system to communicate the information collected by the RFID reader to/from a database using an API. (3) Test the system in a case study about managing the fire hydrants and other critical objects in the EV building. The students (3-4) will work with a graduate student doing research about the same topic. |
