Title | Arithmetical processing of signals using analog and digital circuits
Supervisor | Drs. R. Raut and G. Cowan
Description | The group will explore techniques to perform arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication of signals (voltage or current) and producing polynomial functions using analog circuits and systems (IC chip). They will carry out literature survey, design sub-systems to implement each function, verify their propositions via simulations in MATLAB or SPICE, and implement hardware using transistors/Op-amps and other ICs. Students should be able to figure out the trade-offs between the analog and corresponding digital implementations in terms of complexity, cost, power consumption, robustness, ease of use and interpretation and so forth.
Student Requirement | ELEC 311, 312 COEN 312, 315 |
