Title Multi-Touch Surface using Computer Vision
Supervisor Dr. M.R. Soleymani
Description This project involves designing and implementing a multi-touch surface that will utilize a camera and computer vision algorithms to read, track and interpret finger tips and gestures on a semi transparent surface.

The camera itself is installed beneath the surface. When someone touches the display, the vision system will distinguish finger tips, track them and interpret gestures to conduct a desired task. The vision system will make use of many digital signal processing filters and concepts. After detection, various events will be defined (like finger_up, finger_down, finger_dragged) for event-oriented programming. OpenGL library will be used in order to provide rich GUI.

The language that will be used is C++. Tools and libraries that will be used include Linux, OpenCV library, OpenGL library, etc.
Student Requirement Basic knowledge of digital signal processing.
Good knowledge of programming languages such as C or C++.
