Description | Analyzing video content using video processing techniques is an emerging technology and one in high demand. An example of the usefulness of video analysis software is to call sport plays automatically by tracking the players and report these plays to the world through SMS, twitter, and other forms of new media. Essentially, the software is converting the video to meaningful text describing the video. One of the major challenges is tracking all moving players while the camera itself is moving. This requires a method for classifying moving objects, known as a video object segmentation method, which can deal with moving cameras. Students will be guided to implement a system for video object segmentation with moving cameras. They will be provided with a C++ image and video processing libraries to perform any advanced video processing tasks. They will be given a video object tracking method to use on the segmentation result of their implemented system. Using, the tracking method, the students will output text saying âïïteam 1 attacking, team 2 defendingâïï or vice versa depending on the situation. |
