Title |
Arithmetical processing of signals using analog and digital circuits |
Supervisor |
Drs. R. Raut and Shah M. Jahinuzzaman |
Description |
The group will explore techniques to perform arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication of signals using analog and digital circuits. They will carry out literature survey, design sub-systems to implement each function, verify their propositions via simulations in MATLAB or SPICE, and implement hardware using transistors/Op-amps and digital gates/ICs. Students must be able to figure out the trade-offs between analog and digital implementations in terms of complexity, cost, power consumption, robustness, ease of use and interpretation and so forth.
