Title A BioFluidic Device for Bacterial Demonstration
Supervisor Dr. Kharma and Dmitry Rozhdestvenskiy
Description The purpose of this project is to build a demonstration platform that holds and allows for the manipulation and monitoring of E. coli bacteria. A small colony of bacteria will be held in liquid at a controlled temperature and in the absence of light and contaminants; it will be aerated and nourished; it will be manipulated using liquid inputs and monitored via light-sensors. A successful device would be effective, reliable, easy to operate and portable. An initial specification is available upon request.
Student Requirement Interest and prior knowledge and/or experience with building small-scale robots
Tools most are same as required for COEN390; building parts will be provided by supervisors.
