Supervisor |
Dr. Kharma and Dmitry Rozhdestvenskiy |
Description |
The purpose of this project is to build a demonstration platform that holds and allows for the manipulation and monitoring of E. coli bacteria. A small colony of bacteria will be held in liquid at a controlled temperature and in the absence of light and contaminants; it will be aerated and nourished; it will be manipulated using liquid inputs and monitored via light-sensors. A successful device would be effective, reliable, easy to operate and portable. An initial specification is available upon request.
