| Description |
The goal of the project is for students to gain familiarity with the DVB-H standard. This will be through 1) study of the standard, 2) review of the background material on signal processing, communications and video compression techniques such as MPEG,
3) software implementation of the encoder and decoder, 4) Test and demonstration.

| Student Requirement |
1) Familiarity with C or C++ programming language,
2) Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows operation system,
3) Should have taken at least one communication course,
4) It would be desirable that at least one of the team members have taken the digital signal processing course.

| Tools |
For design: 1) A personal computer (PC) with a C compiler on it.
For demonstration: 1) DVD player or a video camera, 2) A modulator, 3) A handheld device (e.g., a cellular phone) that can receive and play DVB-H. |
