Title | Developing a Context Aware Social Networking Application using Ultra Wide Band Technology
Supervisor | Dr. Amin Hammad
Description | Using several strategically placed receives in combination with RFID tags broadcasting, and based on Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA: the time delay for the signal to travel from the tag and each of the sensors) and Angel of Arrival (AOA) calculations, the 3D coordinates of the tags can be derived. Using multiple Ultra Wideband (UWB) tags placed on the extremities of a kinematic object, the geometry of the object can be interpolated and shown in 3D. In this project, the students will develop software to achieve the above basic functions and to developing a context-aware social networking application using the API of an UWB real-time location system. |
