The project uses a system of sensors controlled with micro-controllers to detect if the car has been hit. When a collision is detected, a camera mounted on a servo moves to take a picture of the car that set of the alarm. The picture is then sent to the car driver, through an MMS message. Several other pictures can then be taken and sent to a hard drive, as an optional part of the project. The technology that we will develop will prevent hit-and-run type accidents by having a picture of the assailant or their license plate. |
