Description |
The objective of this project is to design and build the electrical system for a boat that will be participating in the "Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race". Using exclusively solar panels a number of different loads such as: GPS tracking system, autopilot, desalinator, VHF radio, lighting system, etc. The solar array will be used to charge a battery that will insure night time operation. Maximum power will be extracted from the solar panel using a MPPT algorithm.
